Asbestos Technician

**Circa £28,000 per annum dependent on skills and experience**

**Permanent & Full time**

**Field based & Home based, covering Lincolnshire & surrounding areas**

Anglian Water offers a flexible approach, this role offers you the flexibility to work from home and from an Anglian Water office. Your base location will be Enterprise House in Lincoln, an Anglian Water site. On average this role will be field based threedays per week and home based two days per week.

**Supporting our Water Supplies**

We are looking for a self-motivated individual to come and support our Health and Safety team by carrying out our annual site inspections. You will carry out first time asbestos management and re-inspection surveys, and write up and communicate reports tothe business, as required.

With a flexible approach to your work, you will visit our operational sites/pump stations (both water and waste water), conduct sampling surveys, re-inspect and liaise with various business managers to provide them with updates, from a safety perspective.You will assist the business on any ad-hoc queries and work, in relation to asbestos, with them in a timely manner.

You will be comfortable managing your own workload, can deliver in your role with mínimal support and have an interest in providing continuous improvement opportunities to streamline our processes.

**What does it take to be an Asbestos Technician?**
- An understanding of building survey work and ideally previous asbestos risk assessment
- Educated to A level/ONC level or relevant work experience
- Ideally P402 qualified - Anglian Water are willing to support this training
- Previous experience in the Health and Safety industry
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent IT skills
- Capable of planning and organising workload
- Ability to work with business managers to support and assist them with any asbestos queries and training, where required
