We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive **Finance Assistant** to join our Finance Department on a **12-month fixed-term contract** to cover maternity leave. This role o**ffers the potential to become permanent, depending on business needs at the end of the contract period**. **Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist with **monthly accounting tasks**, including bank reconciliations, general ledger entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support the **accounts receivable (AR) function**, including the creation of customer invoices.
- Process and verify **engineer timesheets**, ensuring approvals are obtained and forwarding them to payroll.
- Prepare and maintain **various financial reports**, including utilisation summaries, weekly revenue updates, new build reports, and QHSE/vessel-related data.
- Provide assistance to the **accounts payable (AP) team** as required.
- Review and verify **credit card and expense entries** in NetSuite, assisting users with correct uploads.
- Handle **fuel reclaims** and ensure proper documentation and processing.
- Arrange **travel for the Technical Department** and assist with Enterprise-related queries for the Accounts Payable team.

**Key Skills & Experience**:

- Experience in a similar **finance or accounting role** is preferred.
- AAT (level 2 or 3) qualified or working towards
- Strong understanding of **financial processes and accounting principles**.
- Proficiency in **accounting software** (e.g. NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
