**Head of Technical - Residential Development - Hertfordshire**

We are currently working with a leading residential developer, who have tasked us with helping them to attract, and recruit, a Head of Technical, to come and join their skilled and experienced technical team.

Our places technical/architectural details at the core of their developments. They are looking to bring in an individual capable of managing and running the technical department and assisting with technical advice, providing effective solutions for any problem that may arise in the construction process, and working alongside technical managers overseeing subcontractors.

The Head of Technical role is a hands-on and active one and will entail running 3 - 4, new or existing apartments-based developments at various stages of production. This requires managing and co-ordinating a team to ensure design and technical matters are delivered within programme and in budget.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Providing technical advice to the business about potential risks or issues that may arise when it comes to buying new sites.
- Oversee the appointment of all architectural firms in new upcoming projects as well as helping managers oversee the work of external consultants.
- Provide the necessary solutions for any technical or design issues that may arise during the build process.
- Identify and implement ways to maximize value and manage cost throughout the design process.
- Work with the technical team to review project drawings and reports.
- Issue documentation and plans to site teams, handling any potential queries in the build process.
- Oversee technical assessment for land bids.
