As a Barclays Data Privacy Advisory, you will be accountable for delivering good outcomes for our customers by ensuring effective and robust management of customer data. You will join the team that, therefore sits within the Customer business as a first line of defence advisory function accountable for providing data privacy advisory support to the Private Bank Data Privacy AE, Marketing, and all other Private Bank business areas.

**What will you be doing?**
- Ensuring that Barclays processes the personal data of its customers and clients in compliance with the applicable Data Protection rules
- Assisting the Private Bank to understand, embed and execute their conduct, regulatory and reputational risk responsibilities in relation to Data Privacy compliance
- Providing world class Data Privacy capabilities to help with data privacy queries across PB business area
- Managing and assisting GDPR and other data rights requests across the PB regions
- Developing and managing metrics to assess data rights request responses, data breaches, data transfer requests, and data complaints
- Leading the risk and control self-assessment submission for privacy risk

**What we’re looking for**:

- Ability to operate in a fast moving business environment and make decisions bearing in mind business objectives and commercial requirements
- Experience with handling, and information control and management of data breach or technology related incidences is also an advantage
- Clear understanding of the relevant data privacy obligations and requirements in relation to complying with marketing privacy (in all forms)
- Experience with privacy impact assessments and privacy risk and control assessments and ability to resolve, before the risk occurs

**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Certifications in one or more of the following disciplines: Data Privacy, Legal, Compliance Information Risk or Information Technology would be useful
- Professional Privacy Certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (e.g. CIPP/ E) or equivalent is preferred
- BCS qualification in Data Protection
