CK Group are recruiting for a Senior Analytical Scientist to join a Coatings and Resins manufacturing company based in Wetherby, on a full time, permanent basis. This role is offering a salary between £35,000 and £40,000 depending on experience.
**Responsibilities of this Senior Analytical Scientist will include to**:

- Deliver completed lab requests within the agreed timescales
- Work closely with the analytical manager and analytical team providing support for various other teams within the company.
- Conducting analysis on raw materials, in-process samples and final products
- Use of a range of techniques including GC, HPLC, Combustion Ion Chromatography, Karl Fischer, FTIR and UV-Vis
- Undertaking method development and method validation to support the R+D team
- Experience of maintaining and tuning single quad GC and LC MS
- Recording and communicating analytical results appropriately, preparing reports as needed
- Experience in the use of traditional ‘wet’ chemical and physical testing techniques.
- Calibrating, maintaining and troubleshooting lab equipment, as necessary
- A high standard of IT, numeracy and data analysis skills

**As a Senior Analytical Scientist you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience**:

- Hold a degree in chemistry or a related discipline
- Practical knowledge of HPLC-MS and GC-MS, including troubleshooting and maintenance
- 5 years of working in industry preferably more
- Holds a full driving license
