Catering Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity at our school site in Arborfield, Reading, RG2, for a Catering Assistant to join the team at Accent.

This is a permanent position, working 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 10:00am to 3:00pm term-time only - **so all the school holidays off**

Joining our educational site, you will need to be a fast working all-rounder. Working as part of a team your daily tasks will mainly consist of:

- general kitchen duties
- driving company vehicle to collect meals from the main kitchen
- putting away deliveries
- food preparation
- serving, cleaning and washing up
- assisting with inventory management
- maintaining high standards of presentation of food and replenishing counters keeping them looking attractive throughout the service time
- speaking to each customer in a friendly, helpful and professional manner
- undertaking all basic training and work effectively with colleagues as part of a team

This is a customer facing position so in addition to the above you will also need good communication skills and be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the English language.

You will be required to prove your right to work in the UK and to provide two referees at interview stage.
