Revenue Controller opportunity to join US law firm on a 6 month FTC basis - salary very competitive
This role needs someone readily available and ideally with Elite 3e experience to be able to hit the ground running. Will need plenty of hands on experience on revenue control and ideally some e-billing experience
This position is covering long term sick leave. This role will be majority office based.
Specific duties include:
- Prepares and processes invoices, ensuring that all bills are checked for numerical accuracy and compliance with all relevant VAT, SRA and AML guidelines.
- Prepares and processes e-bills; ensuring matter templates are set up correctly, entering timekeeper rates and any other e-billing administration.
- Processes time transfers, edits, write-offs of irrecoverable time and disbursements.
- Chases bill payments, deals with issues arising from chasing clients, and works with the billing attorney to resolve them.
- Arranges monthly meetings with partners to review progress on WIP and AR. This includes ascertaining when matters are due to be billed, the type of billing to be completed and any issues relating to expected recoverability and/or cash collection.
- Maintains adequate records of conversations with partners on WIP balances and accounts receivable, identifies actions arising from meetings and conversations. Submits the records/provides updates to the Revenue Manager on a weekly basis.
- Conducts a weekly review of new matters and chases missing engagement letters.
- Liaises with attorneys and New York Accounting to ensure correct matter set up and templates.
- Reviews and maintains Prospective Time.
- Generates WIP and AR related reports and other statistical information for attorneys and clients, as required.
