Personal Injury Specialist

We are on the lookout for an experienced Paralegal to join our expanding PI Portal Team as a PI Portal Specialist, here you would be responsible for ensuring the client obtains the appropriate level of compensation for their personal injury and losses, in accordance with regulations and legislation.

**Responsibilities**
- As a **PI Portal Specialist**, you will be responsible for dealing with MOJ cases up to the value of £25 000.00.
- Efficiently and effectively progress a case load of personal injury files.
- Accurate recording of evidence and or data received from clients and other parties within Proclaim.
- Accurate drafting of legal documents and progressing MOJ cases through litigation.
- Maximise income per case in accordance with the relevant cost’s regime.
- Ensure disbursements incurred are appropriate for the progression of a case and uploaded to the MOJ to ensure recovery.

**Essential Skills and Experience**
- Experience running a caseload of files and dealing with clients
- Basic understanding of risk assessing cases.
- Ability to deal with difficult clients, communicate effectively, and where appropriate give legal advice in relation to their claim.
- Ability to work towards shared goals and objectives
- Experience of demonstrating effective teamworking within a commercial environment
- Cooperative and flexible approach
- Ability to identify where problems may arise and adopt a solution -focused approach
- Demonstrate effective communication and good interpersonal skills
- IT literate
- Commitment to own personal development

- MOJ claims experience

**Working Hours**

This role is Full Time based on 37.5 Hours per week. The Working Pattern for this role is Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm. We are also fully office based in Byker, Newcastle.
