**Shop Assistant** **Location: 6-8 Union Street, Leigh, Lancashire WN7 1AT** **Hours: 14 hours (flexibility required for shop hours Mon - Sat 9am - 6pm, Sun 10am - 4pm))** **Contract: Permanent** **Salary: £18,965 per annum, pro rata** **Are you a retail superstar who’s passionate about helping make a difference?** **We’re hiring** The British Red Cross is looking for a dynamic **Shop Assistant **to join our friendly charity shop team in **Leigh. **This is a fantastic opportunity to enhance your retail skills whilst contributing to our cause of helping people in the local community, across the UK, and abroad. **Helping people in crisis begins at your local charity shop.** Full of pre-loved clothing, accessories, gifts, and more, our 300 shops across the UK are home to over 6,500 volunteers and 700 paid staff. We’re one big team that loves meeting people from all walks of life. **A day in the life of a Shop Assistant will involve**: - Working closely with the shop manager, shop staff and volunteers, and other retail teams, to support customers and donors, as well as ensuring targets and objectives are successfully met. You will help present an excellent image of the British Red Cross, providing a brilliant experience and shopping environment for our customers. - Working on the shop floor, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, operate the till, and create eye-catching displays.
