**Company**:
The company are a global manufacturer of aircraft interiors in the Cambridge area. They are currently going through a major period of development and are projected to grow from a £10million turnover to a £60million turnover in the next two years.

**The Role**:
They are currently looking to bring in an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to help streamline processes and lead the continuous improvement of the facility. The role is broad and will involve product & process design, equipment & tool design, productionsystem design, quality assurance and continuous improvement.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Design, prove, implement and/or maintain production systems to deliver product on time to quality and cost requirements.
- Support continuous improvement activities in quality, cycle times, process improvement and machine availability through lean techniques and value engineering to enhance the capability of existing processes and remove waste.
- Support product design for manufacture and assembly activities
- Support product CAM/CAE activities
- Support cutting tool selection/design, work holding tool design and mould design
- Support validation plans to ensure robust and comprehensive technical solutions

**What is required**:

- Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of design principles
- Knowledge and experience of Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and Lean Manufacturing techniques
