**Contract**:Full time contract following successful completion of a 6 month probationary period. Overtime as required. Some weekend/evening work is necessary

**Purpose of the Post**

To assist the Farm Maintenance Manager with the day to day upkeep of play equipment, buildings, grounds, fixtures and fittings at Bluebell Dairy Ltd:

- Working to the Industry Code of Practice at all times
- Routine general Building, Alarms, Lighting Checks, Servicing and Maintenance
- Setting up internal and external events, which requires a good level of joinery
- Helping the Farm Maintenance Manger organise sub-contractors on site
- Keeping site tidy

**Delivery of all ground care requirements within Bluebells Farm and in wider areas as required. To maintain excellent standards of site presentation including**:

- Mowing, strimming, weeding and spraying
- Groundcare machinery maintenance
- Ensuring safe operation and use of appropriate PPE as required. Sourcing PPE where necessary
- Assisting with biannual equipment inventory

**Undertaking wide range of preventative and reactive maintenance requests at Bluebells Farm, to include**:

- Managing the repair reporting system to prioritise work
- Clearing down-pipes and drains, minor structural repairs to brickwork and roofs.
- Basic maintenance involving electrics, plumbing, plastering, painting, brickwork, carpentry and joinery, erecting shelving, changing light bulbs and tubes etc.
- Painting/staining to maintain all equipment/ tables/fencing/seating
- React to situations as they arise and undertake repairs to ensure high standards of customer service and safety at all times.
- Undertake basic emergency response work and escalate to external contractors or public utility companies in the instance of major breakdown repairs. (e.g. electrical problems)
- Assists with maintenance work on the wider farm as required
- Complies with Health & Safety Regulations and site procedures.
- To work some weekends during peak times and seasonal events

Bluebell Dairy is a family owned business based at Brunswood Farm on the outskirts of Spondon., adjacent to Locko Park.. The creamy milk from the farm's dairy cows is made into our delicious national and international award winning Bluebells ice cream, which is sold to local businesses as well as through the Bluebells tea rooms. Bluebells Farm has a wide variety of animals, a play area with a wide variety of equipment as well as hosting seasonal events.
