You will be providing a comprehensive financial service for the service user under the care of Leeds and York Partnership Foundation Trust. The role will require excellent interpersonal skills, good communication skills, proven organisational skills, word processing skills, proven skills surrounding electronic patient records systems. You will have the ability to work independently but also be able to accept direction from the service manager as required.
- To provide comprehensive financial support for all service lines of Leeds & York Foundation Trust.
- Provide accurate data entry, using an accounts package
- To monitor service user accounts, daily income, expenditure etc.
- To check that all benefit income is paid at the correct rate for the service user
- Assist in the maintenance of accurate records
- To process payment of bills etc. on behalf of service users where required.
- Ensuring that accounts do not become overdrawn.
- To maintain a desk diary/electronic diary ensuring all payments are recorded accurately.
- To attend meetings where necessary.
- Liaise with professionals at all levels.
- To fully record all actions taken (verbal or written) including dates and names.
- To ensure that all information regarding benefits for individual service users is received.
- To ensure that legal requirements are adhered to when dealing with service users benefits

Knowledge
- The post holder will have the ability to be part of team realising their full potential by workingtogether.
- The post holder will have the technical ability to quickly pick up internal and external electronic systems.
- The post holder will have excellent numeracy and literacy skills (tested)

**Skills**:

- The post holder will ideally have NHS financial experience and knowledge surrounding accounting concepts.
- The post holder will ideally have experience of working closely with patients experiencingmental health issues or learning disabilities.
- The post holder ideally will have some experience of patient affairs processes and procedures.
