Purpose of Role
The Head of Security Services is accountable for the delivery of all IT security systems and the execution of activities required to deliver PayPoints IT services 24x7x365.
Managing 4 shift teams, you will ensure security and operational processes are delivered accurately and timely. The Security Operations Centre is at the very heart of how we delivery services to our clients, customers and consumers and not only do they deliver over 1000 files per day, they watch over 1000’s of system components looking for faults or failure that could impact our services.
In support of the shift teams, you will lead the infosec team and a team of infrastructure resource assigned to support security and operational activities. Through these teams, you will ensure systems remain secure through vulnerability management programs and highly available through continuous service improvement programs.
You will be integral to the delivery of 99.99% availability for all services and the delivery of 100% security patching of all systems.
Be responsible for and deliver:
- Accountable for IT security services across physical and cloud infrastructure.
- Ownership, planning and delivery of all agreed actions assigned and applicable to security.
- Develop close working relationship with internal audit and be the primary IT person engaged in all security audits and assessments.
- Accountable for the 24x7x365 Security Operations Centre performance and development.
- Management of teams aligned or assigned to security services, included but not limited to Infosec, SOC, Infrastructure.
- Ownership of security and system monitoring roadmap which will see you define, deliver and run robust solutions that allow for rapid detection of faults that could impact service or security.
- Work with the IT Executive team in support of merger/acquisition activities and centralisation of monitoring and security services.
- Be self-driven and ambitious in leading their teams on a journey of continual improvement.
- Be fiscally astute and able to manage budget and expenditure for own department.
- Have a proven capability in managing operations and security, preferably within an organisation providing payment processing services.
- Provide pastoral care to direct reports and talent within their department.
- Be timely in completion of administrative obligations for both themselves and their direct reports.
- Management of supplier performance and contracts assigned to the role of Head of Security IT services.
- Accountable for operational processes executed within own function, ensuring they remain robust and appropriate in delivering value to the organisation.
**Qualifications and Experience**
- Demonstrable evidence of running security systems and services within an organisation accredited to ISO27001 and PCI DSS.
- Excellent working knowledge of Azure Sentinel and SEIM tool Rapid7.
- Lead participant in cyber leadership teams.
- Demonstrable evidence of running IT services supporting digital payment services.
- Excellent project delivery capability with experience delivering in place system upgrades.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Azure, Linux and MSSQL.
- Excellent working knowledge of security tools, Nessus, Rapid7, DLP, Microsoft Defender.
- Keenness to learn and develop personal skills and set out training programs for own their own team.
