Accounts Clerk

**Internal Accounts Clerk - Shipping & Freight - Altrincham - Up to £30,000**

**About the Company**

I'm working with a freight forwarder based in Altrincham who are looking to add an internal accounts clerk. This is a full time permanent position and the company is happy to look at people wanting to start on 3 days a week and then build up to 5 days a week.

**Internal Accounts Clerk - The Rewards**
- Working hours: 08:30am-5pm
- Working From Home (Monday and Friday initially, open to negotiation)
- Salary up to £30,000
- Holidays: 22 days (Plus bank holidays) - after each year of employment up to 4 years, an additional 1 days holiday will be accrued (26 days maximum)
- Pension: We will match any contribution up to 4% should the employee opt into the company pension plan.

**Internal Accounts Clerk - Requirements**
- Experience within the logistics/shipping sector is essential
- Experience using Xero accounting software is essential

**Internal Accounts Clerk - Responsibilities**
- Pay suppliers
- Credit control
- Invoice out jobs from our in-house system
- Send statements to customers
- Make sure Xero is up to date at all times
- Liaise with our qualified accountant to ensure supplier invoices are uploaded to Xero
- Run reports from our in-house system to find un-invoiced jobs (Or any discrepancies)
- Liaising with Ops department to ensure same day payments are made when required (to certain suppliers)
- Uploading supplier invoices
- Basic understanding of FX and exchange rates

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

- Altrincham, Greater Manchester: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Accounting: 2 years (preferred)
- Supply chain: 2 years (required)
