Online Product Merchandiser

**Who are we?**

Flooring Superstore is an award winning online and offline flooring retailer. We sell a wide range of floor types including specialist brands focused on smooth flooring and artificial grass. After starting out online back in 2012, we have gone from strength to strength and have grown considerably in size. We began opening up retail stores over 7 years ago to compliment our online presence. Since then, we have opened 40+ stores nationwide, with many more planned to open in 2024 and beyond.

As part of our growth, we are looking for an Online Product Merchandiser to join our head office in Bishop Auckland.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure that all products are accurately listed online, well-represented with compelling imagery, and equipped with detailed and persuasive product descriptions.
- Implement basic SEO techniques to enhance product visibility in search engine results, ensuring product descriptions are optimised for keywords
- Oversee the categorisation and arrangement of products to ensure easy navigation and product discovery for customers.
- Implement strategies to promote key products, improve conversion and maximise sales by optimising product placement and visibility on the site.
- Work closely with marketing, purchasing, design and web development to ensure cohesive product launches and promotional campaigns.
- Use web analytics tools and internal reports to track product performance, identify trends, and optimise product merchandising strategies.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and pricing strategies to ensure company brands maintain a competitive edge.
- Collaborate with the web development team to improve the overall user experience of product pages, including layout, navigation, and search functionality.
- Assist the Merchandising team with key ad-hoc tasks such as product queries from internal departments

**Requirements**:

- Some experience in e-commerce merchandising or experience in the retail environment
- Understanding of customer behaviour and shopping habits in the online retail space
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment

**Hours**:

- Full-time hours: Monday - Friday (37.5 hours per week)
- Immediate Start available and more

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
