Our client who are built on a passion for sport, product, and service, are looking to recruit an Assistant Buyer who has a passion for Tennis. The company has worked relentlessly over the past 30 years to ensure that they connect athletes worldwide withthe best choice of products. A hard-hitting and lively band of professionals, dedicated to change the world of online sports retail are looking for an Assistant Buyer who will have a great work ethic, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task. You should also have a genuine passion for Tennis and be aware of the current major brands and products on the market.
**Assistant Buyer responsibilities include: -**
- You will assist the Category Leader and other Asst. Buyers in building positive relationships with new and existing brands while maintaining positive working relationships to help maximise potential within the marketplace.
- You will continuously build extensive knowledge of the marketplace to be proactive when opportunities arise through gaps in the market or new brands.
- You’ll monitor and analyse sales data, stock, price trends and competition. You will manage order books, daily orders, and deliveries. -You will review and identify stock opportunities
- You will assist the Category Leader with marketing ideas, market research and methods to help drive sales online, in catalogues and for campaigns.
- Research current events on social media to ensure that we are up to date with current trends and competition.
**Assistant Buyer Requirements include: -**
- You will take a proactive and driven approach to required tasks.
- The ability to maintain a professional attitude and demeanour, including courteous interactions with team members and other departments.
- Good communication skills and the ability to provide clear and concise instructions/briefs
- Able to work independently and resourcefully.
- Travel as and when r equired to fulfil role responsibilities.
