We have a fantastic opportunity to join our fast paced finance team as a Cashier providing an excellent banking and cash receipting service to Jewish Care and its associated subsidiaries in a timely and efficient manner, managing receipts and payments to maximise the use of available funds for the benefit of the Charity and its subsidiaries.
As a member of the Finance team, to work closely with the finance team, the fundraising team, and all other organisational departments.
**What you will be doing**:
- Ensuring that daily and weekly cashier tasks are completed promptly and to agreed standards, including daily banking, maintaining finance transaction records, logging of general ledger income and expenditure to the Jewish Care accounts system (Dynamics), and keeping an up-to-date record of cash receipts.
- Liaising with our bankers Barclays and Coutts with queries in a timely fashion and to agreed standards. Liaising with our Fundraising committees and the Fundraising department on committee accounts and sending copy bank statements etc. where relevant and in a timely fashion. Liaising with our resources on our resident composite accounts and sending copy bank statements where relevant and in a timely fashion.
- Providing support to the lead cashier, management accounting function, purchase ledger, sales ledger, and the property function as required and to agreed standards. To inform and assist administrators and other customers, both internal and external with financial queries and to comply with current procedures to agreed standards to ensure they are fully supported.
**What you will need**:
- Experience of working as a Cashier in a corporate or charitable environment.
- knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and other financial and management software tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to work to strict deadlines
- Excellent organisational, time management, and attention to detail skills.
