We have a brand new and exciting role for a Procurement Engagement Officer to join the Team on a full time, permanent basis.
Building upon your current experience in contract management and delivery, this is your opportunity to further develop your professional skills and knowledge in a procurement environment.
You will provide effective contract management and guidance to Derbyshire Constabulary and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC), encouraging and facilitating early internal and external engagement.
This is a core role within the team; you will be the department’s first point of contact and a key communicator between the organisation and external suppliers. You will be able to take ownership of managing our supplier relationships, resolving queries and disputes quickly and holding our suppliers to account when necessary.
You will also be critical in driving engagement across the organisation and educating others when it comes to our procurement processes, procedures and the most appropriate route to follow.
We are passionate about supporting your development in this role; a career grade scheme is therefore in place to support your ongoing progression.
If not currently held, we will provide the funding and support for your professional development, supporting your study for the Level 4 Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) qualification. This includes covering the cost of the course and professional fees. In addition to the academic training, ‘on the job’ training will also be provided.
A clear commitment must be made to undertake the necessary study. If you choose to stop studying or leave the organisation within 12 months of completing the qualification, the Force would seek to recover the costs of the training on a sliding scale.
