Location: Remote (with regular travel across neighbouring counties)
**Salary**: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum (including performance bonus)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent | Schedule: Monday to Friday

We’re on the lookout for an exceptional Responsible Individual to provide strategic leadership, expert oversight, and unwavering support across multiple children’s residential homes in Greater London.
This is more than just a senior leadership role — it’s your opportunity to influence practice on a strategic level, raise the bar for care standards, and empower Registered Managers to build homes where children and young people truly thrive. As a trusted advisor, you’ll champion safeguarding excellence, regulatory compliance, and a culture of continuous improvement across all services.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Ensuring full compliance with Ofsted standards, the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, and Quality Standards.
- Providing consultancy, coaching, and mentoring to Registered Managers to deliver exceptional care.
- Leading on safeguarding initiatives and embedding a culture of safe, transparent, and accountable practice.
- Preparing homes for Ofsted inspections, achieving ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ ratings.
- Advising on key operational areas including staffing, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Building and maintaining strong partnerships with local authorities, social workers, and regulatory bodies.
- Driving staff development, training, and performance improvement.
- Promoting a culture of reflection, accountability, and continuous learning.
About You
We’re seeking a driven, inspiring leader or consultant with a genuine passion for delivering excellence in residential childcare. You’ll bring:
- Minimum 3 years’ senior leadership or consultancy experience in children’s residential care.
- NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent/working towards).
- In-depth knowledge of safeguarding legislation, Ofsted frameworks, and regulatory standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A proven track record of driving improvement and shaping best practice.
- A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across Greater London.
- A deep commitment to ensuring children and young people receive the highest standard of care.
