Academics are looking for someone to be a positive role model and work with pupils who find it difficult to cope in a mainstream education.

We are currently recruiting for Behaviour Support Workers and Behavioural Specialists for a fantastic SEMH School in Stevenage, Hertfordshire

If successful, you will work with pupils on a 1:1 basis as well as in small intervention groups, who have a range of needs such as ADHD, ASC, and SEMH difficulties. Every day will be different, and you will need to be able to work closely with other membersof staff to ensure you get the best out of pupils.

If you are resilient, confident and enjoy working with children who have challenging behaviour, this could be the role for you.

Behaviour Support Worker Specification:

- Relevant degree to working with children/vulnerable adults and behavioural issues would be an advantage.
- Previous experience working with SEND, challenging behaviour, youth offending, youth work or sports coaching
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and emphatic listening skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will support students' behaviour and learning in all aspects of school life. Providing a positive outlook and being supportive during lessons and help to deliver 1:1 intervention as well as small group sessions.
