**Senior Town Planner - Newcastle - Up to £55,000**

Are you an experienced Planner with experience in the town/ rural side ready for that next step? Are you wanting to progress to Associate?

I can help

My client is a reputable and distinguished firm, on the lookout for a Senior Town Planner to progress to Associate level.

Predominantly, you will be based in Newcastle, working from home with the requirement to travel to the Bedale & Newcastle offices one or two times a week.

If successful, you will be working on projects on different scales including residential, commercial, and leisure concentrating on strategic planning and land promotion with general planning consultancy.

**What you will be doing**
- Undertaking regular community engagement, committee meetings and public examinations
- Conducting research and undertaking planning appraisals to establish the development of potential of sites
- Researching and designing planning policies to guide development
- Writing high quality reports with recommendations
- Communicating with all stakeholders involved in the planning process
- Attending site visits and client meetings
- Liaising and working with planners, valuers, surveyors, and architects

**What you will have**
- MRCP 1 / An RTPI accredited degree
- Experience in, preferably, both public and private sectors (private is a requirement)
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
- Have a minimum of 5 experience of strategic side of Land Manager experience
- Have experience of development management, EIA, and development plans
- Be commercially aware and have the ability to network, generate work and build relationships
- Be extremely client facing i.e., Experience with Sales Business Development
