Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor.

Reports to: General Manager

Responsible for: Housekeeping staff

Job Purpose: To manage the housekeeping of the accommodation and public areas of the Hotel.

To ensure maximum cleanliness at all times.

To set and ensure that the standards, are adhered to at all times.

To implement training of the agreed standards, followed by constant monitoring.

To ensure that guest satisfaction is kept to a maximum level in relation to the accommodation offered.

Always conduct yourself in a professional manner with the utmost discretion at all times.

**Duties**:

- Personnel
- To be responsible for the development and training of subordinates by identifying training needs and co-ordinating training activity.
- Maintain efficient and effective manning levels.
- To maintain the corporate policies, disciplinary and grievance procedures.
- To carry out appraisals with members of the Housekeeping team.
- To rota according to the business, to ensure all the rooms are covered.
- To ensure the standards of the rooms and public areas are as per the agreed minimum standards.
- To be “hands on” in the cleaning of rooms and public areas, to the minimum standards
- To be aware of events in the Hotel, and their requirements.
- To oversee the purchase of cleaning products and related housekeeping items using the correct purchase order system.
- To assist in upgrading the current standards of the rooms.
- To train members of staff to the minimum required standards, regularly monitor and record their progress.
- To ensure the laundry is kept to a high standard.
- To liaise with other departments over housekeeping issues.
- To report any faults / maintenance issues in the correct procedure.
- To ensure that all necessary housekeeping duties are carried out before leaving the Hotel for the day.
- To oversee the regular deep clean of all the bedrooms on a rotation basis.
- To inspect all rooms before they are handed back to Reception for letting.
- Any other reasonable tasks as requested by a Senior Manager.
- To ensure that all statutory regulations are observed and that the Hotel complies with the requirement of current legislation.
- To ensure that all relevant personnel are trained to the required standard in order that the requirements of current legislation are met.
- Limits of Authority
- Expenditure in accordance with the guidelines of purchasing (purchase order system) & within budget.
- The normal working week is hours as required to carry out your duties to the required standards.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £24,960.00 per year
