As an Operational System Support specialist, you will report to the Operational Systems Support Team Lead and will spend your days providing technical services & support for the user base, at spoke and zoom sites across the whole of England. You will be delivering a 1st class customer service, focusing on customer satisfaction, managing customer expectations, ensuring timely progression of projects, tasks and support whilst promoting Operational Systems Support services. The role is Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm and will include use of a company vehicle. Purfleet or Erith will be your central base but its a mobile position.
**What you'll be doing**:
- Provide technical services & support for the designated site
- Engaging with the business at all levels to provide technical updates and engage with technical requests
- Manual tasks such as IT installations, relocation of user equipment and more.
- Provide 1st and 2nd line support for technologies such as CCTV, WAP, network
- switches and more
- Delivering 1st class customer service
- Managing customer expectations
- Ticket logging, completion & follow up
- Building strong working relationships with business stakeholders
- Create and manage clear written reports and documentation
- Work closely with other team members, management and customers with a desire to
**About You**
We would like to see a a good understanding of computing configurations such as Windows OS, Mac OS, Android, iOS, Technical Hardware, Citrix Environments and Thin Clients with a minimum of two years experience in Tech Support / Service Desk capacity. The ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels to provide technical updates and engage with technical requests, a background in resolving technical incidents in hardware, software and networking. You will have excellent communication skills both verbal and written English, Finally, being a strong team member, supporting and sharing knowledge amongst the team will be key to your success. Previous experience or working as part of a team or autonomously. It is essential you hold a Full Valid UK driving licence to be considered for this role.
- Minimum two years experience in a technical support \ service desk capacity
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Knowledge of Windows OS, MAC OS, Android, iOS, technical hardware
- Knowledge of Citrix environments and thin clients
- Basic understanding of Network Infrastructure
- Microsoft certification or equivalent (i.e. MCITP, ITIL, etc.) desirable but not essential
- Strong ability to engage with the business at all levels to provide technical updates,
- engage with technical requests and incidents.
- Manage your own workload; identifying, pursuing and prioritising outstanding work as well as mentoring and assisting others
- Ability to create and manage clear written reports and documentation
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team
- A can-do attitude and a willingness to learn with a keen interest \ Passion for IT
- Comfortable working autonomously and sometimes remotely on multiple projects
- Demonstrable experience of mentoring and assisting other members of the team.
