We are now recruiting for a Manufacturing Operator to join our team. **About the Manufacturing Operator**: **Shift Pattern - Double Days**: Early: Mon - Thurs 6am - 2.15pm Friday 6am - 12pm Lates: Mon - Thurs 2.15pm - 10.15pm Friday 12pm - 7.30pm **In addition to this your duties will include but not be limited to**: - Precision deburrs of metal components using various tools and techniques. - Checking and deburr work under magnification. - Reading engineering drawings to identify critical features. - Selecting the correct inspection equipment for manufacture. - Manufacturing to correct drawing specifications. - Changing inserts and machine offsets. - Selecting and identifying bushes & fixtures to ensure protection of critical features. - Handing engraves of traceable numbers. - Shot blasting components for cleaning and in preparation for future treatments. - Cleaning and protecting of components. - Checking and completing the necessary quality documentation. - Adhering to Lean principles. - Taking responsibility for work area. - Undertaking training of other employees. - Working with Production Engineers on Continuous improvements (CI) - Completing component tool sheets/SOP when required. - Understanding and use Kanban process. - Performing other such duties commensurate with the nature and level of the post as may be reasonably required. **Our essential criteria for this role are**: - Experienced of deburring intricate features in a variety of components. - Ability to select the correct tooling and methods for jobs. - Ability to perform at a high quality and standard. - Demonstrable desire to progress and succeed. - Demonstrable positive attitude and ability to work calmly under pressure. - Ability to work as part of a team and independently. - Aims for a right first-time approach. - High attention to detail. - Flexible and adaptable to the changing demands of the business. - Ability to read engineering drawings to identify critical features. - A thorough understanding of Health and Safety requirements in the workplace. **It would be great if you had**: - Apprenticeship trained - Experience of running Machine Tools **If you feel you have the necessary skills and experience to be successful in this role, click on "APPLY" today, forwarding an up-to-date copy of your CV for consideration in the first instance.** No agencies please.
