The role of Technical Trainer Airframes and Engines is accountable for the delivery of world class Aircraft type training & technical training of Airframe and Engines for Marshall Skills Academy.

A successful applicant shall be self motivated, adaptable and enthusiastic in sharing their knowledge and experience with others. In return you will be given full accountability to deliver, utilising what methods you see best fit for successful delivery. This is a truly autonomous role in a exciting, supportive and scaling business.

Responsibilities & tasks shall include:

- Delivery of aircraft type training and basic training within the B1 trade group.
- Delivery of Mechanical hand skills and practical competence training, including use of maintenance data, standard practices, tooling and equipment.
- Owning the success of training creation & delivery by writing of Training Needs Analysis, lesson plans, learning notes, presentations, and examinations to meet the needs of the customer, regulator or awarding body.
- Providing constructive learner feedback, referring to your industry experience as well as the qualification assessment criteria.
- Working within a team or individually, to develop new products, services, or capabilities to meet customer demands or quality improvements.
- Operating in full compliance with regulatory bodies ie National Aviation Authority, City & Guilds, Ofstead.
- Ensuring learning environment is safe and free from potential harm.
- Type instructor - ideally with C130 experience but training can be provided.
- Able to deliver, with relatable industry context, the UK CAA Category A Syllabus or the City Guilds equivalent Level 3 or 4 respectively, meeting the requirements of UK CAA CAP1528.
- Able to interpret technical engineering drawings and data, to create training material to meet learning outcomes.
- Skills - Competent and able to delivery electrical wiring, systems and avionics maintenance practical training.
- Knowledge - Able to create, interpret and instruct on aircraft system schematics, technical and underpinning theory data, to meet learning outcomes.
- Level 3 Assessor Qualification (TAQA) (Training can be provided)
- Level 3 Teaching Qualification (Training can be provided)

**Education**:

- L3 apprenticeship in aviation maintenance or combination of higher education and hands on maintenance experience or equivalent
- Mandatory regulatory training (HF, FTS, EWIS)
