**Quantity Surveyor**

**Salary: up to £42,000 DOE plus benefits, company car / car allowance**

**Job Type: Full time, permanent**

**Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week (includes paid breaks)**

**Location: Cardiff or Swindon with travel to other sites.**

Seeking a hands-on Quantity Surveyor working within construction / civil engineering, ideally with a rail background to support the Senior Commercial Manager.

**Role Responsibilities**

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the end-to-end commercial process for the Cardiff or Swindon office:

- Subcontract procurement via tenders and preparing and completing subcontract documentation.
- Work closely with engineering, commercial and management teams.
- Preparing monthly CVR's for internal meetings
- Valuing work instructions
- Pricing works
- Effective management of accurate contract compliant documentation.
- Manage and maintain our relationships with clients and subcontractors
- Submission of variations and early warnings
- Input into budgets, forecasting and monthly reconciliations
- Additional administration duties, analysis, reporting and projects as required

**Requirements**:

- Quantity Surveying degree desirable / certification.
- Minimum of 3 years QS experience.
- Excellent proficiency of Microsoft Office including advanced excel
- Sound knowledge of NEC / Network Rail Contracts
- Highly organised, accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, strategic and a multitasker
- Integrity to handle confidential information
- Rail experience is preferred but not required
