Ductmann Ltd is one of the leading manufacturers and distributors of Rectangular and Circular ductwork products in the UK and has been part of the Lindab Group since 2019. Due to expansion, a new position has become available at our head office based in the West Midlands (WV14).
We are currently looking for a suitable experienced Purchasing Officer to join our busy internal office team based at our manufacturing warehouse in the West Midlands.
**Internal Purchasing Role**
Reporting to the Office Manager your responsibilities will include:
- Planning, organising and coordinating all Purchasing activities in support of department and company's objectives.
Manage supplier accounts and communicate pricing, quality and service concerns, with a view to reduce costs and improve efficiency of the company's procurement process
- Monitoring stock level inventory on stock system to ensure optimised stocks.
- Sourcing products with both existing and potential suppliers, both in UK and overseas. With a view to extending and improving supplier chain.
- Producing and planning reorder reports.
- Updating internal database on Opera Pegasus system and excel spreadsheets with supplier costings.
- Working alongside the warehouse and goods inwards to ensure timely and efficient receipt and quality of goods.
- Work alongside accounts department to close off purchasing ledger with satisfying invoices of purchased goods.
- Answering telephone calls for general enquiries and sales.
- General clerical office duties and crossing over to sales invoicing.
Essential skills for the role:
- Must have experience within an office-based environment with knowledge of purchasing processes.
- Ambitious and able to work in a team as well as on their own using initiative whilst remaining calm under pressure.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Answering many incoming and making outgoing calls.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced target driven environment with a hunger to succeed.
- Must be competent in an office environment and being able to use IT and software such as Microsoft office and Opera Pegasus software but not essential as training will be provided.
- GCSE (Grades C or above) or equivalent in Math's and English.

- 8.15am - 4.30pm
Fri
- 8.30am - 3.30pm
**Salary**: £21,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
