**Senior Pension Administrator**

We are currently looking for a senior pension administrator to join our Consulting & Actuarial department in Sheffield with our thriving team of professionals. You will be responsible for the day-to-day administration services provided to your own portfolioof clients. This is an ideal role for an experienced administrator looking to develop their career.

Senior pension administrators are encouraged to undertake professional qualifications and may be supported to take the Diploma in Retirement Provision and/or the Advanced Diploma in Retirement Provision.

**Role Purpose**

To be responsible for the day-to-day administration services provided to own portfolio of clients.

**Key Accountabilities**
- To be main point of contact for allocated clients and responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day administration services are provided to a high standard
- To delegate work to Administrators as appropriate and keeping under review the workload of the Administrators
- To check the work of the Administrators and other Senior Administrators in line with team procedures:

- Monitor target due dates to ensure service level standards are met for clients
- To ensure that all work that leaves the team is of a high standard
- To adhere at all times to the Procedures Manual.
- To attend Trustee meetings and other client meetings as required
- To keep under review all routine administration procedures carried out for clients and raise with Pensions Manager/Directors if could be improved
- To ensure all standard documents for clients are reviewed regularly
- To prepare draft quarterly invoices for consultants
- To provide assistance on one off projects as required
- Provide updates at monthly team meetings of development/changes on own clients that rest of team should be aware of
- To provide support for P3 administration system if required to
- To update time records on a daily basis

**Technical Knowledge and Professional Qualifications**

**Key Skills**
- Able to provide excellent customer service to clients and build strong client relationships
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Experience of supervising and mentoring junior staff
- Good understanding of current pensions legislation
- Ability to work on own as well as a member of a team
- Delegation skills - able to distribute work to others ability
- Analytical and numerical ability - able to analyse, evaluate and interpret data
- Able to multi - task
- Ability to prioritise workloads and deal with any urgent issues that arise
- Ability to identify solutions

**Required**
- Educated to A level standard
- Experience carrying out a similar role with a Third-Party Administrators or In-house occupational pension scheme

**Recommended**
- Studying towards APMI

- Achieve a good standard of ethical behaviour, i.e. do the right thing at all times
- Comply with all relevant professional standards
