**What we are looking for**:
Based at our clinic in Edgware Road you will have extensive interest and exposure to the field of weight management, patient assessment and consultation, fitness, and a healthy approach to wellbeing. Previous experience as a Nurse or Pharmacist Independent Prescriber either within the NHS or a privately. You must be able to work flexibly to include weekends and evenings.

You will be responsible for your own patient caseload within the clinic; consulting, assessing, and treating people with obesity.

**The details**:
As a weight management Independent Prescriber, you will be responsible for:
**Patient caseload management**:

- Work in line with professional codes of conduct and professional guidance within your scope of practice.
- Providing detailed, accurate, and appropriate medical information and advice in relation to Weight Medics weight loss injection programme, and the methods used to support the patients’ personal needs.
- Providing regular consultation and informed consent to patient.
- Maintaining contemporaneous notes.
- Fully respecting patient dignity and confidentiality.
- If appropriate, discharging patients who are not responding to the programme at the end of the first programme.
- Growing own patient caseload with the support of the clinic team and Marketing.

**Prescribing**:

- Dispensing GLP1’s to patients who are suitable for glucagon-like peptite-1 (GLP1) weight loss injections to regulate appetite and blood sugar levels.
- Providing advice on maintaining a calorie-controlled diet and following an exercise programme suitable for the patient.
- Showcase complimentary Weightmedics app and other mechanisms available to support patient in their weight loss journey.

**Clinical Excellence**:

- Building and maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues to deliver excellent customer service and patient experience.
- Working as part of a team to maintain exceptional clinic standards, including clinic cleanliness.
- Resolving patient queries and complaints with professionalism and enthusiasm.

**What we ask of you**:

- Valid prescribing qualification V 300 or CEPIP
- Current experience as a Nurse Prescriber or Pharmacy Independent Prescriber, either in the NHS or a private clinic, and registered by The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or General Pharmaceutical Council GPhC).
- Previous experience of working with GLP1’s is an advantage
- Good awareness of and adherence to the CQC standards for Slimming Clinics and for Treatment, Disease, Disorder or Injury.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to provide the optimum service to patients - strong, clear communications and examples of using good judgement (necessary for the safety of the patient)
- The ability to demonstrate continually learning and CPD in the field of weight management.
