We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Part-Time Shop Assistant to join our small family-run blind company, Castle Blinds. As a Shop Assistant, you will be an integral part of our team, assisting with various tasks to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer service.

**Duties**
- Work in the shop, answering phone calls, and providing prompt assistance to customers.
- Efficiently book appointments for our salesperson and fitter, ensuring a well-organised schedule.
- Serve customers professionally and knowledgeably, guiding them in their purchase of blinds, curtains, shutters, and related elements.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn how to make blinds, assisting in this process when needed.
- Prepare all necessary materials for the fitters, ensuring they have everything required for a successful installation.
- Handle order preparations, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of customer requests.
- Place orders for materials required to manufacture the blinds if required.
- Maintain detailed records of sales, appointments, and customer interactions for future reference.

**You will have**
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with the general public.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure the highest quality service and products for our customers.
- Confidence in handling customer inquiries and providing product information.
- Desirable: Previous experience in sales, particularly in a retail environment.
- Desirable: Experience in blind-making or related manufacturing processes

**Hours**: Thursday 9.00am - 5.00pm, Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm and 3 Saturdays per month 10.00am - 4.00pm

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: £10.42 per hour

Schedule:
