Night Security Officer

Full time night security officer required.

Leeds Castle in Kent is one of the country’s leading heritage visitor attractions, welcoming over 550,000 visitors each year. As well as the castle we have estate buildings, holiday cottages, bed and breakfast accommodation and 500 acres of grounds, parklands and formal gardens

Reporting to the Security Manager, the successful applicant will as part of the security team help to deliver the day to day security and first aid provision for the historic estate, collections and the safety and welfare of customers, tenants, residents and visitors.

The security of the estate and its visitors is of high priority to always present a safe and secure environment.

The successful applicant must be flexible and willing to work at short notice.

The current security 12 hour shift pattern worked is four on four off 365 days per year.

Objectives of the role:

- Ensure a safe environment through a team effort of diligent active patrol, strict access control, monitoring, and equipment control
- Be visible and observant at all times, greeting staff, guests, and vendors in a courteous and attentive manner
- Respond immediately to distress calls, panic alarms, and emergency calls swiftly and appropriately.,

**Application Criteria**

Preferred elements:

- A current First Aid at Work qualification.
- A minimum of three years’ service within the security or equivalent industry.
- A current SIA licence (not essential)
- Customer focussed

Desirable elements:

- CCTV operation and monitoring.
- Security training qualification.
- Conflict management course completion
- Have a working knowledge of security systems.
- Completed basic recognised security anti-terrorist training courses.
- Proven track record of security employment in the heritage sector
- Strong team player.
- Helpful, courteous attitude

Those attaining the required standard and attributes will be offered the opportunity to attend for an interview with the security manager.

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- Working on a 4 on 4 off security rota 365 days per year..

**Experience**:

- Working within a security company three years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Security Industry Association (preferred)
- Full UK driving licence

**Salary**: £28,291.70 per year
