We are a well established, award winning, vehicle dealership in South Tyneside with a loyal customer base throughout South Tyneside and beyond. We aim to provide the best customer service across all of our areas of business. We are an MG main dealer and service centre, as well as a Nissan approved service centre and a leading converter of electric vehicles.

We offer new and used vehicle sales, Motability sales, fleet and contract hire sales, vehicle conversions, vehicle servicing and repairs, MG and Nissan warranty repairs, MOT’s, accident damage vehicle repairs, parts sales and vehicle rental.

We are looking for a service advisor for our busy MG/Nissan service centre. We require someone who is well organised and an excellent communicator, preferably with a technical motor trade background.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Maintain a positive relationship with customers to ensure they are satisfied with the service they have received. Raising job cards and obtaining authorisation for all work.
- Liaising with the service manager and other members of staff, as appropriate, regarding work progress in order to update customers. Ensure customers are informed in a timely manner of any unforeseen delay.
- Inform customers when their vehicle is ready for collection and ensure that the appropriate invoice is ready at the point of collection. Process customer payments.
- Ensure customer database is updated and accurate.
- Develop knowledge about vehicle repairs, insurance, warranty and service schedules etc. Maintain knowledge of aftersales products and service. Upselling only where appropriate.
- Training will be given

Working hours Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5.30 pm with one hour lunch break. Saturday morning rota as overtime.

A driving licence is an advantage but not essential.

Position is full time, permanent.

**Salary**: dependent on knowledge and experience.
