**Main accountabilities**:
Manage the Treasury, Retail Takings and Sales Ledger departments of Ryman and Boux Avenue (Team of 11), ensuring working capital is maximised, strong controls implemented and risk exposure mitigated.

**Key Responsibilities**
- To lead a fast-paced finance team during a significant period of change
- Managing the Sales Ledger team, responsible for accurate and timely customer billing, and collection of overdue receivables
- Accountable for the accurate recognition and reconciliation of customer income across stores and e-commerce, Cash, card, gift card, and voucher payments, managing relationships with 3rd party providers (eg G4S, Natwest bank, Card Acquirers, Paypal), supporting the business in new ways for customers to pay.
- Managing chargebacks and being aware of any trends that may be occurring, escalating to the risk team any areas of concern.
- Balance Sheet accountability ensuring all reconciliations are completed accurately and on time, with risks mitigated
- Oversee and report on intercompany accounting, liaising with the other brands in the group to ensure alignment
- Receivables audit lead ensuring all audit requests are completed in a timely and professional manner
- Oversee the production and reconciliation of daily cash flow reports for all group bank accounts
- Calculation of daily treasury deposits ensuring that all bank accounts remain in credit
- Oversee and ensure no risk to month end reconciliation of bank balances to the accounting system
- To maintain and develop appropriate banking relationships
- Produce and manage weekly cash flow forecasting
- Ensure adherence and compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures and develop strategies to maximise efficiencies.
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns and business support in relation to ad hoc VAT queries
This is a role that will require you to dive into the detail and “make it happen” but also elevate yourself to communicate upwards and set a receivables business plan and vision.

**Experience requirements**
- Qualified accountant experienced in treasury functions; retail experience preferential
- Navision system experience preferential
- Experience in leading, coaching and developing colleagues
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience of Customer Takings preferential, understanding card payment processing and cash cycle process
- Strong controls mindset
- Experience of accounts receivable collection cycle preferential

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £50,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
