**Job Description**:
Outsourcing Associate

Location: Liverpool, Manchester or Reading

Every day our teams help people in businesses and communities to do what is right and achieve their goals. You will work within the outsourcing function of our Accounting Services team. The outsourcing team serves as an extension of our clients’ finance team, supporting them in meeting their compliance needs. We ensure that our clients reporting is timely and accurate and therefore forms a sound basis for clients to fulfil their tax and reporting obligations with consequent benefits for society as a whole.

A look into the role

As an outsourcing associate within our team, your role will include
- Supporting more senior colleagues in delivering accounting services to clients.
- Preparing management accounts on a range of clients
- Preparing VAT returns
- Some review of work of more junior colleagues
- Communicating effectively with colleagues and clients
- Using various software packages

Knowing you’re right for us

Joining us as an outsourcing associate, you’ll need to have a good knowledge of UK GAAP and double entry bookkeeping, some knowledge of UK VAT rules and a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.

You will be good at working on your own initiative and also as part of a team and be committed to completing your studies towards an accounting qualification. It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way.
- Some knowledge of employment tax rules
- Some basic knowledge of UK corporation tax
