Our client, a well-established manufacturer of process instrumentation is seeking a **Business Development Manager**to join their team at an exciting stage as the company move into **new premises in Frimley**.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Leading a small team of buyers and procurement projects
- Daily management of a small team of buyers in 3 locations
- Supplier selection proposals and approval to include fact finding, audits, negotiation etc.
- Support in expediting delivery if necessary
- Generating supplier confidentiality and service level agreements where required, necessary filing onto company server
- Generating RFQ (Request For Quotation) packs for new supplier, to include drawings, usage and target pricing
- Validating and comparing incoming quotes to identify potential suppliers
- Preparing supporting information for cost negotiation with suppliers, including usage information, competitive quotations and comparisons, engineering data/drawings, annual spend with supplier
- Supplier visits as required
- Resolution of all escalated supply issues
- Being active in all department projects
- OTD improvements
- Daily reports completed by purchasing team
- Effective management of procurement projects
- Introduction set up of good quality suppliers with all relevant agreements in place
- Assertiveness (but be approachable)
- Minimum 5 years in a similar role
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Good organisation and administration skills with attention to detail
- Computer literacy in MS Office, particularly Excel & Word
- Good working knowledge of MRP
- Experience with Electro/Mechanical procurement
- Driving licence and willingness to travel between sites
- The ability to read engineering drawings

**The following would be an advantage**
- Experience of managing in more than one location
- A good telephone manner
- Customer service skills and the ability to multi task
- Experience of working within a global supply base within manufacturing environment
- Experience of supplier negotiation and development of suppliers - in a small to medium batch environment
- CIPS or part qualified
- Experience of working with high precision complex parts
