**The Role**

The key focus areas for this role are to maintain and strengthen financial control, ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards, preparing the monthly accounts and leading the interface with auditors for half year and annual accounts.

**Main Responsibilities**
- A key member of the finance team, managing the Financial Accountant and Assistant Accountant
- Preparation of monthly management accounts for all entities, in accordance with agreed timetable
- Assist in the development of high quality financial information to be provided to external stakeholders (e.g. business unit reporting, external investor reporting)
- Financial reporting for all entities, including the preparation of annual statutory accounts both in the UK and overseas
- Assist with Group cash flow management, planning and reporting
- Maintenance of the accounting system, ensuring system integrity is preserved
- Work with external auditors to ensure the timely completion of interim and final audits
- Ensure inter-company reconciliations and confirmations are performed monthly
- Maintenance of the Group Tax Calendar
- Ensure that all VAT returns, both in the UK and overseas, are submitted in accordance

with the Tax Calendar
- Assist in the preparation of annual corporate tax returns both in the UK and overseas,

working closely with the company’s external tax advisors, to ensure that they are

submitted in accordance with the Tax Calendar
- Manage company secretarial responsibilities
- Review the work of the Financial and Assistant Accountants
- Proactively provide ideas for improvement to financial processes and controls across the

group, reviewing and improving existing processes and procedures
- Assist in the identification and documentation of all key financial controls and processes

**The Person**
- ICAS/ICAEW/ACCA Qualified
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- An aptitude for problem solving when working with financial systems
- Strong Excel skills
