CNC Machinist

**Platform Resourcing** are working in partnership with a Manufacturing Business based in Pontypridd who are looking to employ a permanent **CNC Machinist**to their well established manufacturing company that is growing after years of success.

- Day shifts only - Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 4.30pm and Friday 7.30am to 12.30pm

**CNC Machinist Duties and Responsibilities**
- CNC Turning experience and the use of manual tool-room machinery would be an advantage.
- Programming parts on the control panel and from models using CAD/CAM software including SolidCAM.
- Working from drawings/models to produce parts to accurate tolerances.
- To work within company's ISO 9001:2015 Quality management system ensuring documented procedures are correctly followed.
- Use of all types of measurement equipment.
- Raise issues to management regarding work plan conflicts.
- To Train others when required.
- To ensure cleanliness of equipment/machines are maintained to the required standard.
- To ensure all activities follow our standing operating procedures (SOP's).
- To highlight any non-conforming product, shortage or forthcoming issues as soon as possible.

**CNC Machinist Essential Experience/Qualifications**
- Time served in CNC Machining & programming.
- Use of CAD/CAM software - must have proven experience of programming parts on the control panel and from models using CAD/CAM software.
- Able to read and work from drawings and specifications.
- Good communication skills, strong team player.
- Basic IT skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong work ethic, eye for detail with a quality focus.
