Beeshive Community is looking for a Personal Assistant to join our team to support a young woman with complex needs to lead a fun and independent life and support her to reach her full potential, through both practical and emotional support. This role isbased at her purpose-built house in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire. This is a really challenging but inspiring permanent job. You will need stamina and resilience both mental and physical, zest for life, a sense of humour and the capacity to be fully engaged all the time you are on duty. No previous experience is necessary - we will train you. **Duties as a Personal Assistant** The duties and responsibilities of a Personal Assistant are unique and varied. Whilst this can be a very diverse role, the key focus is always on supporting a person to lead a fulfilling and more independent life. You will often work with significant peoplein the person's life, such as friends and family, by giving them confidence, reassurance and involving them in the person's care. This job involves, but is not limited to, the following duties: - Support this young woman to achieve her true potential by working as part of a team to deliver her individual support plan. - Attending activities in the community - Farming projects, Swimming, Eating Out, Walks, Yoga, Music Therapy, Sailing. Our clients' activities have been carefully curated by her family and support team, they offer her stimulation, challenges, and enjoymentas well as transferable skills. - Supporting her to engage with music projects run by the London Symphony Orchestra and local music groups. - Assisting with meal preparation and undertaking training in diet and nutrition - Assisting with personal care - Working closely with our client's family to ensure they're involved and informed about her daily progress. Some tasks will be daily, others weekly.
