Murray Myers Recruitment are very pleased to be assisting a long established business based in Wednesbury with the recruitment of a design engineer within their rapid prototype castings division.
The design engineer will be responsible for designing, developing and improving foundry manufacturing methods and processes. This position assists in maintaining and improving processes and systems that affect the quality of our cast products along with objectionthat have a direct impact on lead-time quality and cost. A Key element of the design engineers role is to provide support with Engineering by troubleshooting problems and effecting timely solutions in order to maintain the continuity of the shop floor processflow.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop castings and design running systems
Carry out casting simulations to validate design
Liaising with customers to deliver their needs, which many include providing drawings and CAD models for approval and quotations for pricing enquiries with an objective to grow sales
Interface with Sales and Engineering to evaluation casting designs
Track and monitor projects to ensure customer lead times are achieved
Education & Skills
Two Years of applicable engineering experience or recent engineering graduate (with work placement experience)
Proficiency with 3 D CAD Packages - Solidworks Preferable
Must have a full driving license

**Benefits**:
Salary - £25-28K dependant upon experience
