Sports Tutor

**Job Summary**
We are looking to appoint a **Sports Tutor** with experience of delivering within the Further Education sector.

This role will involve delivery and assessment on a range of qualifications from Level 2 to Level 6, across Sport, Fitness, Health, Coaching and Active Leisure. This will include creative development work and projects in non-term time.

**Key Responsibilities for this role**:

- Course delivery and assessment of sport & fitness qualifications
- Create a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that motivates students to excel.
- Develop engaging lesson plans and activities that promote active learning.
- Regular tracking and monitoring of student progression
- Completion of termly Learner Progress Assessments
- Attend staff training and CPD sessions
- Support the ongoing recruitment of students through regular school-based careers events and open evenings

**Your qualifications and experience**:
**Essential**
- PGCE, Certificate or Diploma in Education or equivalent
- Vocational Degree in Sport, Health & Fitness
- Industry Certificates in Sports Coaching
- Industry Certificates in GyM/Fitness Instruction
- Teaching experience within the Further Education Sector
- Proven track record of delivering outstanding results in education

**Desirable**
- QTS or QTLS
- Assessor Qualification
- Delivery and Assessment of BTEC Sport qualifications

**You will have a track record in**:

- Delivering Sports & Active Leisure qualifications
- Marking, Assessment and learner feedback practices
- Building professional and positive working relationships with students and peers

Pay: £25,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
