Job Title: Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) Location: Belmont Secondary School, Rawtenstall. **Salary**: £30,000 per annum Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only Must be UK based Job Purpose: As the DSL, you will play a crucial role in leading safeguarding and child protection initiatives within our Secondary School. Your responsibilities will include participating in strategy discussions, engaging in inter-agency meetings, and contributing to the assessment of children. Providing guidance and support to fellow staff members on child welfare and protection matters, you will also collaborate with relevant agencies such as the local authority and police. While some safeguarding activities may be delegated to deputies, you will retain lead responsibility, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standard.
