**Job Title: Attendance Officer**

**Location: Brent, North West London**

**Type of Contract: Full-time, long-term contract commencing ASAP, with a view to becoming permanent**

**Salary: Hourly rate offered at £15-£18 dependent on experience (36 hours per week)**

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor and track student attendance, identifying and following up on absences and lateness
- Work closely with parents/carers, teaching staff, and external agencies to promote and support good ttendance
- Record all attendance and absence data accurately and efficiently using SIMS
- Analyse attendance data and report to senior management on trends and areas for improvement
- Lead on initiatives to improve attendance and punctuality, including rewards and incentives for good attendance
- Support students with attendance issues and work with families to overcome barriers to attendance
- Contribute to the safeguarding of students and adhere to school policies and procedures

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working as an Attendance Officer or a similar role within a school setting is desirable
- Good knowledge of SIMS and attendance monitoring procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting the welfare of children
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on own initiative
