**Learning Support Assistant**

The Supply Room is working with a Specialist School who are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to start in January 2025, with the potential to start sooner. Full time availability is required, with this being a term time only role every Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 16:00pm.

The school caters to students from primary to secondary aged, with various Special Educational Needs, and aims to provide a welcoming and nurturing learning environment

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide learning and wellbeing support and work with students within the class and one-to-one. You will assist the Class Teacher with ensuring students reach their full potential, are engaging with the curriculum and making progress, and ensure students display positive behaviour.

If you have a background in Psychology, Criminology, Social Work, Education or as a Support Worker, you are welcome to apply.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs. You will need to have experience working with young people or vulnerable adults, with previous experience working with Special Educational Needs being advantageous.
