**Role purpose**

Reporting to the Commercial Services Manager, the primary purpose of the Commercial Services Assistant’s role is to ensure day to day requests coming into the team are completed accurately and in a timely fashion.

The individual will be responsible for BAU MS license additions and removals, the creation of customers software asset reports, the creation of quotes, order processing and placing orders with suppliers. Working with the IT support and client engagement functions and closely with the wider business, the role holder will provide a support function covering BAU activities.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Complete Microsoft license change requests as needed, querying any request that is not clear. Maintain the Cloud House system keeping customer and license details up to date and running reports as needed.
- Using our RMM tool create software asset management reports that can be provided to our Client Engagement function. Keep software license info up to date in other portals as and when these are ordered or renewed.
- Respond to queries from our Client Engagement function and the wider business to assist with pricing and stock availability. Raise quotes for customers as required covering various IT equipment requests, process these quotes upon approval and place orders with suppliers ensuring stock availability and best prices are maintained. Raise any issues with the CS manager.
- Provide a contact point for supplier queries.
- Assist in reviews of suppliers, tools, and processes for continually improving performance and reducing costs.

**Skills Knowledge & Experience**
- Must have demonstrable experience gained in a similar role ideally with a Managed Services Provider
- Experience using CRM and purchasing tools
- Excellent communication skills, analytical ability, decision making with the ability to work effectively across the IT organisation at all levels.
- Good standard of education with evidence of IT/Software skills
- High work standards / planning & organisation / attention to detail
- Excellent knowledge of IT equipment, peripherals, and software and the ability to understand incoming requests and specify equipment and services as required

**Desirable Skills**

Knowledge and experience of ITIL Service Delivery and improvement
