**What is the purpose of the Buyer role?**

Proactively manage all purchasing activity for the extensive and diverse product portfolio for a growing sport memorabilia business. The role will involve management of vendor relationship and working closely with internal stakeholders within the business. The role is diverse as it covers all aspects of the purchasing function from Engineering parts (drawn), proprietary components, 3rd Party products and ‘business as usual’ requirements.

What will be the responsibilities of the Buyer?
- Responsible for delivery of Purchasing cost reductions through effective sourcing and negotiation with suppliers.
- Work with individual stakeholders, marketing, auction, eCommerce and manufacturing.
- Developing supplier relationships in existing and new territories.
- Continuous search of new suppliers according to different commodity requirements.
- Day to day supporting the internal stakeholders (Sales, Customer Service, Auction,

Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Product E-commerce and Marketing) by providing a high-quality service efficiently.
- Managing, developing and improving the end to end purchasing function to obtain maximum value (cost, quality and service) from the supplier base.
- Analysing vendor performance failures, identifying issues and implementing appropriate corrective actions.
- Engaging and assisting with ongoing parts re-sourcing and group co-sourcing programmes and initiatives.
- Continually assessing and reviewing the supply base capability to deliver price, quality and service excellence to the business and evaluating opportunities and risks.
- Regularly reporting to line management on work status, initiatives and ongoing projects.

What skills and experience will the Buyer have?
- Previous experience within a similar purchasing role is essential.
- Understanding of Engineering drawings and manufacturing techniques.
- Excellent prioritisation skills with the ability to plan and organise effectively
- Able to work in a pressurised fast paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Interest in motor racing and other sports would be advantageous

**Salary**: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
