A global biotechnology company who are a market leader in their therapeutic area are looking for a Kilo Lab Manager to join their Process Chemistry team.
With a strong passion for science and a background in Process Chemistry, you will lead a team of Kilo lab assistants and manage experiments within the kilo laboratory for this pioneering business at the forefront of scientific innovation.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee experimental synthetic work and campaigns for the kilo laboratory whilst ensuring productivity and operational readiness
- Lead and mentor a team of lab assistants in the kilo lab operations, including Process Safety measures
- Liaise with the Process Chemistry team to coordinate schedules and organise supplies for the kilo lab and deliverables to customers
**Requirements**:
- Educated to a Ph.D. level
- Background in Process Chemistry in a pharmaceutical or CRO setting
- Great knowledge of small molecule synthesis on kilo scale
- Excellent understanding of Analytical Chemistry particularly HPLC/UPLC
- Experience in data collection for Process Safety assessments
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a team
