Are you an enthusiastic and caring person who is passionate about people and looking to gain experience with students with complex needs? A School in Reading looking for a Child Social, Emotional and Mental Health Assistant to join their Mental Health Team.
A small specialist school in Reading are looking for a Social, Emotional and Mental Health Teaching Assistant to support the social, emotional wellbeing and mental health of students. The school provide alternative education for students who have emotionaland mental health difficulties including anxiety and trauma including some additional special educational needs such as dyslexia and Autism. The Social, Emotional and Mental Health Teaching Assistant will be responsible for working with students aged 4-16in a range of settings assisting the main class teacher with students on a 1:1 basis and the broader classroom working with other trained professionals including Psychologists and Therapists with an opportunity to shadow their work.

- Pay Scale: £70-£80 a day
The Social, Emotional and Mental Health Teaching Assistant will ideally have a degree in a related field or have experience working with young people. Many children will have experienced difficulties in their lives including trauma, depression and anxietyso someone with resilience and an open-mind to support mental health challenges in children is required.
