Junior Estimator Apprentice

NCE Switchgear are electrical switchgear manufacturers that offer electrical solutions, from motor control, instrumentation and also distribution. NCE Switchgear now operates a four day working week within our NCE factory in Clydebank. That means that you will benefit in a long weekend every weekend

Working Hours - 36 hours per week, Monday - Thursday, 8am - 5pm initially then 7am - 5pm (4 day working week)

**What would I be doing?**
- Assisting with creating and processing quotes and sending out to customers using systems such as Sage HR and Sage50
- Wide use of Microsoft Office Package to complete daily tasks, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Processing Service jobs passed over from our Service Team
- Assisting with keeping the estimating log up to date
- Communicating with customers and potential customers in regards to sales queries
- Contacting suppliers to get the most up to date pricing and ensuring that all our pricing sheets are up to date
- Creating folders with all the correct documentation to pass over to admin team to process jobs in our system
- Learning and developing your business skills.

**You will need the following skills**:

- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages such as Word and Excel
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team and individually when required
- Professional approach towards all aspects of work
- Good time management, planning and organisational skills

92% of QA Apprentices secure full-time employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks
