**About us and the Team**

Now is a great time to join Warwickshire County Council to help us on our path towards carbon net zero. We want to tackle the climate emergency that affects us all and to that end we're committed to decarbonising transport across Warwickshire. We've recently secured funding to deliver additional electric vehicle charging infrastructure to encourage drivers to switch away from fossil fuel powered vehicles. We are now looking for a full-time, permanent, dedicated EV Officer to lead on the roll-out of chargepoints across the county.

If you are committed to reducing the reliance on petrol and diesel vehicles and want to contribute to the move towards sustainable transport options in Warwickshire, we have the role for you. We're looking for someone who will provide a first class service at all times, whose knowledge, skills and experience will help us to make the best possible use of funding to deliver charging infrastructure throughout Warwickshire.

As an officer in the Strategy and Policy team you will be expected to become the focus for delivery of our electric vehicle strategy. You will seek out funding opportunities, work with chargepoint providers, liaise with stakeholders including our district and borough partners, respond to enquiries, select sites for chargepoint installation and manage new and existing infrastructure. Working in the friendly and supportive Strategy and Policy team there may be opportunities to develop your role, such as exploring new and evolving areas of sustainable transport technology including hydrogen fuelled vehicles.
