**Accountabilities**
- Be able to identify the unit is free from unauthorized personnel
- Ensure all appropriate PPE is worn at all times when working at height
- Undertake visual check of the unit and be able to identify any hazards / everything is fitted correctly before powering unit
- Be able to read & interpret technical drawings
- Be able to carry out electrical tests safely, adhering to relevant regulations
- Split the 2nd fix electricians work before every batch
- Carry out all earth & MEGA tests prior to powering unit, i.e. R1 & R2 test, Insulation resistance test, earth continuity test
- Be able to power up the unit safely
- Test all electrical fittings and appliances, adhering to relevant regulations, highlighting any issues
- Ensuring the Health and Safety requirements of BS7671 are met, and at all times notifying others of testing activity using warning signs, also prohibit access of non competent persons to the unit whilst these activities are taking place using barriers and enclosures.
- Checking and ensuring that each installation has been completed in accordance with the build requirement / options / works cards - instructions
- Earthing / Bonding arrangements.
- Check every connection in the consumer unit including the buzz link.
- Carry out the full sequence of tests.
- Fit the Gas Earthing system.
- Produce the NIC-EIC certificate based upon the test results that have been recorded on the electrical inspection sheet earlier in the process, this will vary in each unit depending on content / specification / options.
- This must be updated every time a new model is introduced or amended.
- Duplicate copies of the schedule must also be made which need to be kept in a secure location adjacent to the main switch in each unit

**Knowledge/ Skills/ Experience**
- 18th Edition Certificate
- Good working knowledge of BS7671
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing of Electrical Installations Certificate
- Working at Heights trained
- Harness trained
- Experience of working within a health and safety orientated environment
- Experience of working within a fast paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to organise, prioritise and structure daily activities
- High level of numeracy & literacy
- The ability to work with deadlines
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation
- NIC-EIC QS Accreditation
